CMHA Kelowna provides a wide range of services and supports to those who are experiencing mental illness and their families. One of our core objectives is to promote and create innovative programs and supports that contribute to the recovery, secondary prevention, empowerment and community integration of people with mental illness in our community. Our programs are centered around the notion of assisting individuals to build their skills necessary to manage their mental health and to learn about services and supports that are available to them. CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION PEI DIVISION

The Canadian Mental Health Association/PEI Division is a volunteer and community-based organization that began its work on Prince Edward Island as a division of CMHA National in 1959. CMHA/PEI’s programs and services are delivered throughout the province. There are self-esteem and suicide prevention programs within most schools; mental health education sessions and seminars are delivered across the Island; resource libraries are located in three communities; there are three Clubhouse Programs which provide employment, residential, education and pre-vocational opportunities to people with mental illness and there is a White Cross program providing social and recreational activities for adults experiencing mental and emotional disorders.

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Sudbury was established in 1984 and is a not for profit organization with a volunteer board of directors. CMHA is mandated to provide services to adults with a diagnosis of a serious mental illness within the Sudbury – Manitoulin Districts. CMHA is an agency that is primarily funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and also receives funds from the Ministry of Child & Youth Services, United Way and Ontario Trillium Foundation.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION - NORTH AND WEST VANCOUVER

Our Branch has served the North Shore community since 1958 when a group of West Vancouver individuals organized a social club called the "White Cross" where adults with mental illness could meet, socialize and develop skills. This became the first drop-in center to be sponsored by CMHA in British Columbia. While our current programs and services differ from those originally begun in 1958 our commitment to reducing recidivism rates and increasing the mental health of everyone in our community remains. Our current programs include individual advocacy, a weekly health lecture series, Volunteers in Partership - North Shore, ACHIEVE a planning and employment service, support groups, housing and public education.

CUC Friends is an annual campaign to assist the CUC in its annual work. Almost 10% of our revenue is from our friends. The Endowment Campaign is to increase our endowment fund to ensure long-term stability to our income. Sharing Our Faith fund is a yearly program to collect and then disburse funds to congregations with specific growth plans. The Individual Member program is for those who want to belong to the CUC when being a member of a congregation is not convenient or preferred.
