Club of Rome

The organisation reflects its members' shared concern for the future of humanity and the planet. The association sees its task as acting as an independent, global catalyst for change. The objectives of the Association are therefore: to identify the key issues that are critical to the future of humanity; to evaluate alternative scenarios for the future and assess risks, choices and opportunities through integrated and forward-looking analyses; to develop and propose practical solutions to the identified challenges; to communicate new insights and knowledge from these analyses to decision-makers in the public and private sectors, as well as to the wider public; to stimulate public debate and effective action to improve the prospects for the future of humanity and the planet. The Association's activities are guided by the following three complementary principles: 1. the need to adopt a global, systems-oriented perspective in analysing the problems facing the modern world, recognising that the increasing interdependence of nations and the globalisation of previously local problems create challenges that are beyond the capacity of individual countries. 2. the need for a comprehensive, holistic approach in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity and interconnectedness of both current problems and practical solutions, in political, social, economic, technological, environmental, psychological and cultural terms, which the association refers to as the 'world problematique'. 3. the need to emphasise transdisciplinary and long-term perspectives, which are all too often neglected by governments and other decision-makers, and to focus on those decisions, strategies and measures that will determine the fate of present and future generations. The aim is to arouse public interest and provide responsible decision-makers with a solid basis for formulating and implementing future-oriented measures. The association does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not seek to make a profit.

The World Transplant Games Federation

Every day, lives are changed by a single, selfless act - the gift of organ donation. Among those waiting for transplants are 2 groups of people: those who die waiting and those who receive the gift of life. Our work raises awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donors while helping recipients who have overcome the impossible to live life to the fullest. These individuals have faced life's greatest challenges; they are advocates for the cause but need resources, education and community. Transplant recipients have a unique opportunity to advocate for organ donation and raise awareness. Physical activity plays a crucial role in the recovery and long-term health of recipients. When recipients compete in world events, they demonstrate to the world what can be achieved through the gift of organ donation. Additionally, our programs provide recipients with community, tools, and resources to address the many challenges they face, leading to an increased quality of life. The WTGF promotes amateur sport amongst recipients, living donors and donor families; promoting the study of transplantation; educating the public and raising awareness of the world shortage of donor organs; sharing new knowledge from biological/clinical studies; promotion of mental and moral improvement for recipients, living donors and donor families; fostering international friendship and relations.

Verein Feministische Alleinerzieherinnen - FEM.A

The Association of Feminist Single Mothers - FEM.A is an independent, non-partisan, non-denominational feminist association. FEM.A advocates the values enshrined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. FEM.A advocates the values of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, also known as the Istanbul Convention, which was ratified by Austria in 2014. As feminist single parents we demand self-determination and independence for our lives. That is why FEM.A demands that Austrian politicians create laws that enable single parents to live self-determined and financially independent lives. FEM.A envisions a world in which women's and children's rights are recognized as human rights. In such a world, neither women nor children live in fear of violence. The Association of Feminist Single Mothers - FEM.A fights for strong mothers and their right to a carefree life. For their children and their right to a happy childhood. The association mainly addresses women, since 91% of single parents with children under 15 years old are women. It has a clearly feminist and progressive orientation, in which the self-determination of the single parent is the main focus. FEM.A is increasingly educating the public about the grievances and major hurdles faced by single mothers. FEM.A provides political leaders with important impulses to improve the sometimes frighteningly precarious situation of single mothers and their children. We work independently of political parties and are not affiliated with any political party or organization. We provide hands-on help to single mothers in need through our phone helpline, which is available on working days from 3 pm to 6 pm. We help single mothers to educate themselves on topics ranging from family law, education, career opportunities, psychology and many others. For those in need, we can allocate free-of-cost first consultation at specialized lawyers, psychologists, coaches and other specialists.

KOPF, HAND und FUSS gGmbH

KOPF, HAND + FUSS gGmbH (KHuF) is a nonprofit organization based in Berlin, Germany, dedicated to shaping a society in which inclusion is not just an idea but a lived reality. Since its founding in 2010, KHuF has worked to promote full and equal participation of people with disabilities and disadvantages by removing barriers and creating inclusive, empowering spaces. At the core of KHuF's mission is a deep belief in the value of diversity and the right of all individuals to access education, employment, and community life. The organization sees difference not as a deficit, but as a strength - and strives to create environments where people can thrive, regardless of their physical, cognitive, social, or cultural background. KHuF's work spans four main areas, each contributing to a comprehensive strategy for greater inclusion: Digital Projects KHuF develops barrier-free digital tools that support learning, communication, and empowerment. These include: IRMGARD, an app that helps adults with limited literacy learn to read and write. LAYA - Learn As You Are, an inclusive eLearning platform accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. HANDschrift, a learning platform in German Sign Language (DGS) to improve written language skills among Deaf adults. AInfach, a project exploring how artificial intelligence can support people with learning difficulties in their working lives. Inclusion Quiz, a multilingual digital tool for accessible and playful learning about inclusion. Inclusive Coworking Space - TUECHTIG With TUECHTIG, KHuF operates a unique coworking and event space that is fully accessible and explicitly designed to welcome people with and without disabilities. It fosters collaboration, visibility, and a sense of community. The space also hosts The Soul Office, a project offering direct psychological support in the workplace. Academy KHuF provides free and inclusive educational workshops and trainings in Berlin that raise awareness, reduce prejudice, and empower participants. These are co-led by experts with lived experience (people with disabilities) and cover topics such as accessibility, communication, mental health, and inclusive work environments. Projects like SPEED and Soul Mate additionally focus on youth empowerment and inclusive mental health support, respectively. Inclusion Consulting KHuF offers hands-on consulting services to public institutions, nonprofits, and businesses looking to implement inclusion effectively. This includes participatory website audits, inclusive design, organizational change processes, and workshops on inclusive communication and accessibility. Across all of these areas, KHuF works with a large and diverse team of experts - many of whom bring their own experiences of disability or marginalization. The goal is to ensure that inclusion is never a top-down process, but something shaped with those who are directly affected. Values That Drive the Work KHuF's mission is guided by these core values: Participation - Everyone should be able to contribute and be heard. Equity - Not the same for everyone, but fair for each person. Respect - For different perspectives, lived experiences, and needs. Openness - To new ideas, people, and approaches. Empowerment - Supporting people to gain confidence, skills, and autonomy. Innovation - Using creative and digital solutions to remove barriers. Our Vision KHuF envisions a society where inclusion is the norm, not the exception. A society in which people are not defined by their limitations, but recognized for their abilities, talents, and contributions. To get there, KHuF builds bridges: between people and ideas, between problems and solutions, and between diverse life worlds. "Our goal is to build bridges - between people, ideas, and lived experiences - and between challenge and solution."

Echo100plus

Echo100Plus is a registered Austrian charity, which was founded in 2012 by a group of friends, most of them Austrians with strong ties to Greece, who were moved to take action when the scale and intensity of the growing economic and social crisis became apparent. We are providing assistance for people in precarious situations in Greece. We are focusing on arriving refugees and receiving communities. We are developing alternative models of cooperation and learning from each other in an increasing social climate of fear. Our mission is to empower and help build new perspectives for the people we support by engaging (international) volunteers thus strengthening civil society. Our emphasis is to establish 'spaces' and 'programs' to enable dialogue and equip/empower all our stakeholder and participants to self-improve their lives.
