Our Mission life is just unfair, we are trying to adjust that imbalance by providing the most basic of human rights: clean water, sanitation and education in remote rural African villages, so children living in poverty do not die needlessly and live to have a real future. We want to reach 100 rural Ghanaian villages by 2016, through collaboration and sustainability.

Sue Ryder provides compassionate care for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs both in the UK and internationally. In particular we help those suffering from cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntingdon's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, stroke, brain injury and other life changing diseases. At Sue Ryder we're passionate about giving people the care they want. Some people believe that once you have a life-changing illness, there's little left. We don't. At Sue Ryder we believe it is the beginning of a challenging new stage of life. We work closely with health and social care professionals to offer care that's tailored to each person's needs. By talking to each person individually we find out what they need and help them to live their lives. We also strive to look after their mental and physical wellbeing, and provide support for their carers, friends and families. We are also committed to improving standards in long-term and end of life care and have ongoing programmes of innovation and research.
