Wendat Community Programs provides a range of services for seniors as well as community mental health programs. Services for seniors include affordable supportive housing, assisted living, day program and congregate dining. Wendat also provides Psychogeriatric services to seniors with behavioural challenges. Mobile social work support is available across Simcoe-Muskoka for seniors living alone or with family. Adult Community Mental Health programs include intensive case management, housing services, crisis services, supported employment and social recreation programs. Wendat has been acknowledged as one of the top psychiatric rehabilitation programs worldwide, as well as receiving recognition for its innovative programs for seniors health care. In total, Wendat has received 18 awards of excellence over the past 25 years.

We provide services in: * Audiology: Hearing Tests, Hearing Aid Evaluations, Earmolds, Batteries, Repairs, Community Education, Accessories and the "Lend an Ear" Hearing Aids Loaner Program. * Communication Aids: Text, Video & Amplified Phones, Visual Alert Systems for your Doorbell, Phone, Fire Alarm, Television Devices, Equipment Installation and Service. * Employment Counselling: Career Counselling, Vocational Assessment, Employer Education & Outreach, Job Search Assistance, Interview Skills, Worksite Assessment & Support, Resource Room, Computers & Internet. * Interpreting Services: Medical Interpreting for Regular Appointments & Emergencies, Community Interpreting, Vocational Support Interpreting, Public Education.

Telephone support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; Secure shelter; A place where women are heard, supported, and are encouraged to regain control of their life and retrieve their “joie de vivre”; Support in various legal, financial and other procedures; Counseling tailored to the special needs of children exposed to conjugal violence; External services (without shelter) Support in creating protection scenarios; Post-shelter follow up; Support provided to the families and friends of victims as well as professionals working with victims; Access to subsidized housing.

Crime Stoppers is a partnership involving the Police, Media and the Community. Anonymous tips are received from the community by Crime Stoppers and forwarded to the Police to investigate. Crimes are highlighted by the media to assist in soliciting tips. Crime Stoppers is a charity that does not receive government funding. Board members are volunteers from the community at large. They develope programs to raise funds to pay the rewards to the anonymous tipsters. They also decide on the amount of the reward that is to be paid.

L'Arche Homefires is located in Wolfville, NS and is part of the worldwide network of L'Arche communities. We have been supporting adults living with developmental disabilities since 1981. We are a community made up of five homes, a weaving and candlemaking workshop, a day program and a retirement program. We focus very much on developing relationships that reveal the unique value and vocation of each community member.

For more than 35 years, the Women's Emergency Centre has provided residential and community-based services to abused women and their children through programming such as: our 24-hour crisis line; shelter program; transitional support; and counselling programs for children exposed to domestic violence. The ongoing support from members of the community through donations is essential to our services and continues to offer hope to women starting a new and violence-free life.

The Women's Interval Home provides 24 hour emergency and short term shelter, support, individual and group counselling, transitional services, school program, and child witness counselling services.

WDDS (Woodstock and District Developmental Services), a non-profit charitable organization, has been providing opportunities and supports for people with developmental disabilities in Oxford County since 1959. We offer a wide range of individualized supports and services through our Accommodation, Employment, Day, Youth and Family Support programs. WDDS believes that people with developmental disabilities should: •Be Treated with respect, dignity and equality; •Have opportunities for community participation and to develop relationships of their choice; •Receive quality supports to be as independent as possible and grow to their maximum potential. Through advocacy and public education WDDS will continue to strive for inclusion as we seek to play our part in achieving "a community where everybody belongs."

AURA has a long history steeped in the ideal of supporting and aiding refugees on their journey towards a better life here in Canada. The roots of the work AURA does today are embedded in the desire of people wanting to help the mass exodus of refugees from South East Asia in the late 1970’s. The plight and flight of these people is the genesis of the current Canadian refugee sponsorship program. Working as a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH) and representing another SAH, AURA works to train and support groups who want to take an active role in assisting refugees from around the world. The current refugee sponsorship program that AURA works within is designed to support refugees who are making their refugee claims from outside of Canada.

Located in an easily accessible building at Yonge & Eglinton, WSC has established a business environment which provides immigrants with Canadian workplace experience, settlement counselling and referrals to needed services, technical skills training in accounting and office administration, and bridge-to-work programs. Client feedback is extremely positive, relected in the fact that the majority of referrals are word of mouth from satisfied customers. The agency works in collaboration with other organzations serving women, immigrants and the unemployed including several umbrella groups and Memorandums of Understanding with other programs to ensure that clients receive all needed services. A donation of just $10.00 per month = a subsidy for an isolated woman to take a needed skills upgrade; A donation of just $500 = a subsidy for a newcomer to enrol in Diploma program and receive Canadian credentials; A donation of just $200 = career exploration and work placement services

Our objective is to expand our YMCA in order to assist our community with providing enhanced family-based recreational opportunities for Kingston area residents. Specifically, our project will: 1. Increase the capacity of our community to offer water-based activities for all ages. 2. Enhance our ability to deliver quality learn-to-swim programs for both able-bodied individuals and children with physical and intellectual disabilities. 3. Update and expand our current recreation-focused programs for families and individuals looking to be physically active.
