Your annual membership and donation dollars help ensure that our organization is able to provide services (such as the BC Transit Ticket Assistance Program), resources, (such as the Living Wage and Affordability Index), and leadership (such as our work in food security) that we have brought to this community for many years. You can also choose to direct your donation toward the development of our new Community Investment Fund for affordable housing and community enterprise in the Capital Region. Your financial contributions support new ways of working together to create a vibrant and sustainable community and to support new initiatives to tackle the many challenges to the quality of life for people in the region. The mission of the Barrie Food Bank is to provide temporary food relief to individuals and families of our community who are in need, and to serve as a resource to encourage and guide them along the road to self-sufficiency.

Operating under the umbrella of Cape Breton Community Housing Association, the Community Homeless Shelter is a non-profit, charitable organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mandate of the shelter is to provide safe emergency accomodations for homeless individuals in a manner that respects their diverse experiences and needs. The shelter also assists clients in accessing available resources within the community as needed and provides on-going support and rehabilitative services through in-house programs and counseling. A referral service for females requiring emergency shelter is also provided.

Lakeshore Community Services is dedicated to providing a number of services available to the local community including: • Meals on Wheels • Friendly Visitor • Security Reassurance • Foot Care • Transit Bus • Food Bank • Computer Assistance Program (CAP) • Job Bank and Free internet access • Photocopying, faxing, lamination, typing and resume assistance • Room bookings • Keep the Heat • Coats for Kids • National Child Benefit Supplement / Canadian Tire Jump Start Program • Free Income Tax Clinic LCS continues to partner with City of Windsor Services / Agencies to provide contact within the Town of Lakeshore, which include but are not limited to the following: • Service Canada • Teen Health Centre • Sexual Assault Centre • Children Regional Crisis Centre • Hiatus House • Social Services – Leamington Office • Bilingual Legal Clinic

Community Living-Central Huron provides a variety of staffing supports to adults & children with a developmental disability. These supports include: 24 hr in-home assistance; independent living assistance; employment; social & recreational participation opportunities; respite for families; aid for individuals and/or families with advocacy issues; and assistance to access specialized supports and services. Vision Statement: "That people live in dignity and share in all aspects of living in their community".

Founded in 1955, Community Living Mississauga is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides support to people who have an intellectual disability. Our Vision - All people will live in a state of dignity and respect, share in all elements of living in a community which is welcoming, accepting and inclusive of all individuals. All people will have the freedom to make choices and decisions that enable them to achieve self-determination. We believe that people who have an intellectual disablity have a right to live in the community and participate actively in community life. Each individual, regardless of disability, should enjoy the full rights of citizenship and the full experience of membership in the community

Everyone has gifts. Everyone has dreams. Everyone deserves a full life. The Community Living Society (CLS) believes that all people have the ability and the right to fully participate in, and contribute to, their communities. We work with individuals and their family members to design the type and amount of support needed to help increase independence and realize dreams. CLS supports are intended to complement, not replace the natural supports provided by family, friends and community members. The CLS support team acts as a bridge for people with disability to make new friends, learn the skills needed to get meaningful work, live more independently and achieve personal goals. Founded in the late 1970’s by a group of family members of children with disability, CLS combines the values, leadership and advocacy of our past, with innovative and individual approaches to providing residential and community inclusion support services.

Community Living Timmins Integration Communautaire envisions a society where everyone belongs, has equality, respect, acceptance and full citizenship. The uniqueness and innate value of every individual is celebrated, supported and acknowledged as essential to the completeness of the whole community. We help people with intellectual disabilities have lives that make sense to them on their own terms. What is most important to the person is most important to us. CLTIC helps build a network of supports that include family, friends, and community resources to help individuals meet their needs, dreams and aspirations as they navigate through life.

The programs sponsored by the CVCDA include: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology Supported Child Development Infant Development Community Integration The Autism Program Behaviour Consultation JumpStart Preschool The Youth Project Friendship Project Services and activities provided at the CVCDA include: Lending Library Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group Annual Children's Telethon Donations and contributions to support the work of the CVCDA are welcome throughout the year. Donations "IN MEMORIAM" are a way of recognizing supporters of the agency, and we gratefully acknowledge those families who have named the CVCDA as the recipient of memorial funds. We are a local agency, helping local children.

Newly-arrived Canadians require assistance in determining where they can perform best in their adopted society. That’s where COSTI comes in -- assisting newcomers with the process of integration, of understanding, and of communication. With a staff of over 200 people, speaking more than 60 languages, COSTI helps over 42,000 people annually, ensuring that, regardless of barriers, all individuals are given the opportunity to use their existing skills, learn new ones, and participate in all aspects of Canadian life.

As Canada’s largest youth shelter, Covenant House Toronto opens doors of opportunity and hope to homeless youth. More than just a place to stay, we provide 24/7 crisis care and have the widest range of services under one roof, including education, counselling, health care and employment assistance. Kids come to Covenant House from every part of Canada and from every social and economic background. Most are fleeing or have been forced out of homes where there is abuse and neglect. The street is a dangerous and often deadly place for kids. Our doors are open to youth 16 to 24 regardless of race, creed, gender or the circumstances that have brought them to our threshold. Covenant House has helped thousands of young people move from a life on the streets to a life with a future. On average, about 4,000 young people turn to us annually.
