The Canadian International Council (CIC) is Canada’s foreign relations council. It is an independent, member-based council established to strengthen Canada’s role in global affairs. Thank you for supporting our NEW TRAINING CENTRE for our 1,000 volunteer marine rescuers. You are helping to give our volunteer crews the best training possible so that they can provide great service to the public -- and get home safe. RCM-SAR provides marine rescue service in more than 40 communities in British Columbia. The training centre, near Victoria, will be home to our rescue vessel simulator, on-water navigation and seamanship training, advanced first aid, communications, leadership, and other important courses. CMHA Kelowna provides a wide range of services and supports to those who are experiencing mental illness and their families. One of our core objectives is to promote and create innovative programs and supports that contribute to the recovery, secondary prevention, empowerment and community integration of people with mental illness in our community. Our programs are centered around the notion of assisting individuals to build their skills necessary to manage their mental health and to learn about services and supports that are available to them. Our Branch has served the North Shore community since 1958 when a group of West Vancouver individuals organized a social club called the "White Cross" where adults with mental illness could meet, socialize and develop skills. This became the first drop-in center to be sponsored by CMHA in British Columbia. While our current programs and services differ from those originally begun in 1958 our commitment to reducing recidivism rates and increasing the mental health of everyone in our community remains. Our current programs include individual advocacy, a weekly health lecture series, Volunteers in Partership - North Shore, ACHIEVE a planning and employment service, support groups, housing and public education.

Canadian University College is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning located in the heartland of Alberta surrounded by lakes and lush countryside. The Canadian Youth for Christ ministry is involved in responsible, effective and culturally sensitive evangelism of youth, communicating and caring in ways that are relevant to this generation. The ministry is committed to acting as a resource in helping to futher the worldwide vision and mission of Youth for Christ International.

Today, CCSS serves a large number of North Vancouver residents through targeted youth programs, seniors programs, and the Red Cross Loan Program. Youth CCSS concentrates on ensuring youth have access to resources to reduce the risks associated with the developmental challenges of the pre-teen and teen years. Since the youth program is based on outreach, one of our primary goals is to create opportunities to identify youth at-risk and provide support to the individual and their family. Seniors' Hub - operates 12 services that are designed to improve the health of very frail and isolated seniors provide increaseed activity, and peer support, and a sense of belonging to a community of peers. These are important factors which can significantly improve health and quality of life. Red Cross Loan - This program offers the North Shore community a free short term loan of medical equipment such as mobility and bath aids.

Casey House is a specialty hospital with community programming including home care and outreach programs. Founded in 1988, we were the first freestanding HIV/AIDS hospice in Canada. We rely on donor funding to provide our community programs, which include the Home Hospice Program, nursing, counselling, complementary therapies including massage, recreation therapy, child care for HIV-positive parents and the Resident Care and Comfort Fund.

Catholic Family Services of Durham provides counselling services to individuals, couples, families and children residing in Durham Region who are experiencing difficulties with personal, interpersonal, social, psychosocial and emotional functioning.
