The main objective of the ASOCIACIÓN MENSAJEROS DE LA PAZ is the care, attention, support, rehabilitation, treatment for human and social promotion of the most disadvantaged and needy groups in Spain and in several countries all over the world in order to promote their full integration: minors, young people living under social risk conditions, abused women, physical and psychical handicapped people, drug addicts, and old people who live alone, in abandon or poverty conditions.

We act as a global catalyst for the changes that the world experiences, fostering powerful initiatives and strong impact. We are dedicated to the development of systemic projects of socio-economic and environmental regeneration. We work in training, dissemination and cooperation with public and private institutions.

Contribute to the social transformation of Argentina through the creation of a space for exchange and interinstitutional dialogue, which brings together all actors and agents related to the process of sustainable development.

Canales is a non-profit organization conformed by deaf and hearing people concerned by the marginal situation of deaf people in Argentina. We promote the right of deaf children for an accessible education, through educative projects. All our projects are based on the recognition of sign language as the natural language of the deaf, and on the active participation of deaf people in the design and development of educative programs.

Seva Mandir's mission is to make real the idea of society consisting of free and equal citizens who are able to come together and solve the problems that affect them in their particular contexts. The commitment is to work for a paradigm of development and governance that is democratic and polyarchic. Seva Mandir seeks to institutionalise the idea that development and governance is not only to be left to the State and its formal bodies like the legislature and the bureaucracy, but that citizens and their associations should engage separately and jointly with the State. The mission briefly, is to construct the conditions in which citizens of plural backgrounds and perspectives can come together and deliberate on how they can work to benefit and empower the least advantaged in society.

Fundacion Leer promotes reading and literacy among children in Argentina, creating lasting and positive effects in their personal development and helping them enter the social fabric. Since reading skills benefit educational processes, we intervene early so as to close the achievement gap between at-risk communities and their affluent peers. We offer globally proven reading programs to urban/rural schools, libraries, hospitals, and community centers, meeting vulnerable children's literacy needs.

Cimientos is dedicated to promote equal opportunities in education through programs that encourage school inclusion and improve the quality in education for children and youth from low income families in Argentina.

Earth Trust works to give tools to tribals and villagers to farm their land in a sustainable way, to develop responsibility for Primary Health solutions with traditional answers and to give rural children inspiration, skills & passion for revitalising their communities & land. MAKAIA is a non-profit organization strengthens capacities for social development through technology, innovation and international cooperation. Our vision is that every person and organization has knowledge and information to increase opportunities to transform themselves and their communities. MAKAIA means "to build" or "make" in Miskito (Indigenous Language from Honduras). The name represents MAKAIAs objective of building alliances and relationships oriented to the social and economic development.

To achieve medical and scientific advances in pediatric cancer care, with an emphasis in multidisciplinary research aimed at improving and implementing diagnostic, prognostic and treatment alternatives for pediatric cancer patients, while teaching and training other health care workers in these alternatives.

Pilares is an NGO that works alongside the families that live in precarious settlements in the city of Buenos Aires (Argentina) to promote their integral development through 5 pillars: education, health, work, housing and legal aid. YOUTH FOR CHRIST - GENERAL OVERVIEW The NGO Youth for Christ in Montevideo, Uruguay. Youth for Christ is an autonomous, non-profit organization. Since it began 40 years ago, Youth for Christ has worked actively to come along side marginalized population in Uruguay through formal programs. Our action is oriented primarily toward children, adolescents, young people and their families on three levels of intervention: - Personal (seeking holistic development) - Within the family and community (work to strengthen families, develop local networks, and encourage participation) - Political and structural (participate in constructing Social Policies and effective methods of intervention) In 1989, we began to work formally with the State and formed the Civil Society Organization Youth for Christ, Uruguay. Since then we have operated collectively with State organisms, International Organisms, and a wide variety of NGOs (non-government organizations) that work in the country. In Youth for Christ we run politically as a civil society organization. The General Assembly of partners is the sovereign body, which appoints a Board of Directors. This Board operates on an honorary basis and has a predetermined term of service. Youth for Christ works with a clear north, challenging but possible with Jesus Christ, which we express with simplicity in our mission: - Promote a culture in tune with the gospel and its values of justice, peace, solidarity, tolerance, love, and respect for the diversity. - For part of the Youth for Christ International family, adhering to the shared vision and mission of the organization.
