The goal of the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation is to provide supplemental funding to meet the needs of a strong and meaningful healthcare system. Since its inception in 1983, the leadership and innovation of the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation has led to the development of vibrant, solid partnerships between the local corporate community and individual donors. Your gifts assist the Foundation in meeting its commitment to provide funding for patient and resident improvements, technological advancements, program enhancements and other special needs.

Through donations HOPE AIR purchases flights on commerical airlines, utilizes donated seats from most of Canada's airlines and also arranges flights on private planes. All to ensure that those in need can get to medical appointments and treatments that are far from home. Hope Air has arranged over 74,000 flights for children, seniors and families from hundreds of communities across Canada. Run by a small staff, Hope Air receives enormous volunteer support and is recognized as one of Canada's most cost-efficient charities.

The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation raises funds for Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH), Dufferin Place Extended Care Facility (Nanaimo), Eagle Park Health Care Facility (Qualicum Beach), Trillium Lodge (Parksville) and the Oceanside Health Centre (Parksville). We own and operate the Nanaimo Lifeline Program and the Code Brew Coffee Kiosk located in the NRGH lobby - all profits support our mission and vision: Our Mission - The Foundation creates opportunities for donors to advance healthcare in our communities. Our Vision - Excellent Healthcare, Facilities & Equipment.

The NCDC provides support, assessment and therapy treatment to children and their families in Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Lantzville, Gabriola Island and Protection Island. In addition, the NCDC offers specialized assessments to children who live in Duncan, Ucluelet, Tofino, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Parksville and Qualicum Beach, and who are thought to have Complex Developmental & Behavioural Conditions. Last year nearly 1800 children and their families received assistance at our Centre. The need for our services is great and we are faced with a waitlist of over 300 children, waiting an average of 5 months for some services (speech & language therapy & occupational therapy in particular). Donations allow us to help children in their lives to obtain the therapy and support they need, and grow to their optimum development, enriching our community. As a not-for-profit agency, community support is vital in our effort to serve this much-needed population.

CADS-NCD is a divisional member of the national CADS organization and oversees the programs and services operating in the regions of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. CADS-NCD is totally volunteer based. We ski in a safe, fun filled environment and we are committed to the idea that "Skiing is for Everyone". CADS-NCD is incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act as of October 15th, 1979. The primary purpose of CADS-NCD is to provide facilities, equipment and instruction to all individuals with a disability in order to pursue recreational and competitive alpine skiing and snow boarding. Secondary purposes are ability awareness and advocacy on behalf of the disabled to both the community and recreational and competitive sports.

Located in the West Kootenay area of B.C., Nelson & District Hospice Society serves Nelson & the East Shore of Kootenay Lake through one-on-one volunteering, grief support, volunteer training, and community education programs. The Neurofibromatosis Society of Ontario was founded in 1985. We hold bi-annual meetings in the Toronto area with related guest speakers. We offer an opportunity for people with NF to network and share their feelings and concerns with others through social activities in a friendly atmosphere of acceptance.

In addition to personal counselling for individuals, Interfaith also works collaboratively with other social services, churches, schools and other organizations to offer a range of educational programs and personal growth workshops throughout the year as interest warrants. We also provide experience and supervision for professional Counsellors-in-training.

The Foundation is the fundraising organization for Norfolk General Hospital. Through your donations, we support the commitment to improving the quality of life for our community by offering local access to health care services in a caring, compassionate environment.

The Children's Ability Fund was established in 1947 and continues today to serve the disabled community of Edmonton and northern Alberta. Our main goal is providing technologically advanced equipment that will provide more indpendence for people with disabilites - to assist them in their daily tasks. Our main focus is on children, however, children with disabilites grow up and become adults with disabilities, often with the same needs. In addition to individual equipment requests, we offer several special programs to address others needs in the community. Our Barrier Free Playground Project offers funding for accessible playgrounds and our Sledges in School Projects provides equipment for a "sledge hockey" and skating program. The Lonestar program offers a grant to therapeutic riding groups for children with disabilites and the New Leash on Life offers a grant to organizations providing service dogs to inidivudals with disabilites.

Family Services of the North Shore is an accredited, not-for-profit, community-based organization. For sixty years, we have provided education, support, and counselling to heal and connect the North Shore community.The Agency serves the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, the District of West Vancouver, as well as the Village of Lions Bay, and Bowen Island. We also lead the provincial work in the prevention of eating disorders.Our annual budget is now close to 3.7 million of which one third or 1.3 million is fundraised. We actively work with our donors, funders, community partners and corporate donors to ensure the sustainability of effective and cost-efficient programs. Our vision is a connected community where people care for one another. We annually serve close to 7400 individuals and families through a broad range of social services to children, youth, adults, couples, and families from a diverse array of cultural and economic backgrounds.

Since 1974, North York Seniors Centre (NYSC) is dedicated to providing support services and social/recreational programming to facilitate the health and well being of seniors living in their homes in our diverse community. Services such as personal care and light housekeeping keep clients safe and secure in their homes; friendly visiting and transportation assist clients to remain connected to the community while alleviating isolation that may occur due to accessibility issues; day programs support clients who are physically frail or are cognitively impaired with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease to participate in social activities based on their ability and provides their caregivers much needed respite from the duties of providing care; and 70 plus social-recreational programs and services provide drop-in activities for active seniors from our diverse community. Provision of these programs and services is pivotal through our vibrant Team of dedicated volunteers and employees.
