Representing nearly 200,000 donors, the Alberta Cancer Foundation is the number one non-governmental source of funding for cancer research and programs. Last year we invested $23.3 million towards our vision of a cancer-free future. We know something can be done about cancer and we're willing to do it. For more than 30 years Ronald McDonald House Toronto has been fulfilling its mission to provide a “home away from home” for seriously ill children and their families to heal better together. Ronald McDonald House Toronto offers a place for sleeping, schooling, working, cooking and playing. It also provides vital therapeutic programs that help sick children, their siblings and their parents get to a better place emotionally. More recently, Ronald McDonald House Toronto has expanded its mission to include the in-hospital Family Room Program.

Children's Health Foundation is the charitable fundraising resource for Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre,Children's Health Research Institute and Thames Valley Children's Centre Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre is the designated referral centre for specialized medical care for children in the region and the paediatric teaching hospital of the University of Western Ontario. Children's Health Research Institute, at Lawson Health Research Institute, is the research arm of Children's Hospital of Western Ontario. Thames Valley Children's Centre is a regional rehabilitation centre for children and young adults with physical disabilities, communication disorders.

The Children's Hosptial of Eastern Ontario Foundation raises funds for CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) by soliciting donations, receiving planned gifts, bequests and grants and by organizing special events and lotteries.

LAMP C.H.C. is Community Health Centre in South Etobicoke, Toronto West. A Community Health Centre is a charitable, non-profit community based organization that provides a variety of integrated programs and services to meet the health needs of the community.

For over forty years, The King’s Daughters Dinner Wagon, a not-for-profit agency now known as Meals on Wheels, has been dedicated to providing nutritious meals, daily companionship and comfort with a smile.

As the largest specialized or 'tertiary' centre east of Toronto our programs are aimed at treating people with complex and serious mental illnesses that are often resistant to conventional treatments. In addition to inpatient beds, the majority of these programs feature day treatment options and outreach activities for patients living in the community. Each and every one of us has a personal connection to mental illness given that one out of every five people in Canada is affected. They are our mothers, brothers, colleagues and friends – they are those we know and love and we want to ensure they receive the very best care when they need it. Since its inception, the Foundation has worked with generous donors, volunteers and community members to raise the funds needed to help save lives, and support our vision to be recognized as Canada’s leader in providing the best healthcare for a global community.

At Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario, volunteers and staff are committed to helping guest families in an atmosphere filled with hope and support, providing much more than just comfortable and affordable accommodation. While the cost to the House of accommodating a family for one night is more than $75, families are asked to contribute just $10 a night. No family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. Keeping things so affordable certainly goes a long way toward helping to ease the financial stress of families who discover they must be in the core of a major urban centre for what could be many weeks or months. Imagine the cost of a hotel room and many other daily living expenses incurred, while mortgage or rent and car payments continue to mount up back home. Our extensive services - which include seasonal events, family dinners, laundry, computer and internet access – ensure that all members of the family are supported during an extremely stressful time.

Guelph Food Bank was established by Spiritwind Christian Centre in 1989. Food Bank clients vary in age, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, but they have one thing in common they are all faced with financial hardship.
