The Ukrainian Canadian Congress UCC represents the Ukrainian Canadian community before the people and Government of Canada, promotes linkages with Ukraine and identifies and addresses the needs of the Ukrainian community in Canada to ensure its continued existence and development for the enhancement of Canada's socio-cultural fabric. Currently there are well over 1.2 million Canadians of Ukrainian background living in Canada. The Ukrainians first settled in Canada in the 1880’s and have developed strong communities in every region of Canada.

NATURE QUÉBEC

Founded in 1981, Nature Québec is a non-profit organization bringing together people and organizations interested in protecting the environment and working to encourage sustainable development practices. Central to its mission accomplishment, Nature Québec’s volunteer-based Environmental Commissions are mandated to address issues within their respective areas of expertise. At present, six commissions operate in the following key areas: agriculture, biodiversity, energy, forestry, protected areas, and water.

Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association

The VanDusen Botanical Garden Association ("VBGA") raises funds to support projects in the Garden and the Conservatory and to deliver education programs to visitors of all ages. The VBGA also engages 1,450 volunteers to aid in the work of welcoming and guiding visitors, conducting seed collection and flower arrangement, running special events, as well as providing assistance in running the Garden's botanical library. We delivered 148 education and outreach programs to more than 7,100 participants - 4,100 children and 3,000 adults last year. In January 2013, with the official amalgamation of VanDusen Botanical Garden and Bloedel Conservatory, we began extending our educational program and interpretive reach.

Vancouver Chamber Choir

The Vancouver Chamber Choir is one of Canada’s national treasures, an outstanding professional vocal ensemble noted for its diverse repertoire and performing excellence. The Choir has been performing to audiences at home in Vancouver and on tour across Canada since it was formed in 1971 by conductor Jon Washburn. International excursions have taken the Vancouver Chamber Choir to the USA, Mexico, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Finland, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine. Honoured with the Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence by Chorus America, the Vancouver Chamber Choir has to its credit countless performances, 30 recordings, hundreds of radio broadcasts and numerous awards. Recognized by the Canadian League of Composers as foremost supporters of Canadian music, Jon Washburn and the Choir have commissioned and premiered nearly 250 Canadian choral compositions.
