femLENS' mission is to visually educate and make technologically aware the most vulnerable and resourceless women of our society through documentary photography made accessible by mobile phone cameras and cheaper point and shoot cameras.

To promote the dignity and respect of women and girls, protecting them and their children from the social and personal repercussions of irresponsible parenthood and the degrading influences of slum life. Years of work in the lower-income areas of Venezuela prompted us, 35 years ago, to create 'Alive to the World', an original values-based curriculum, specially prepared by a team of international experts, designed for classroom use. Alive to the World uses positive psychology for each and every developmental stage of growth from preschool to adulthood, educating in understanding the importance of values and integrity, appealing to the emotions and demonstrating their use in everyday life ("Educating Head, Heart and Hand", T. Lickona). Our program, Alive to the World, in fully aligned with UNESCO's Goals for the XXI Century: Knowledge, Motivation and Skills. Seeing the effectivity of the story-telling technique, the anthropologically structured scaffolding and the non-judgemental approach to strengthening the person, family and community in all regions, our goal and mission is to implement our program in all deprived schools in Venezuela. To be active and outspoken in bringing public awareness to the dangers of a growing cohort of young males, with no formation in values, joining gangs, and the corresponding teenage mothers, in the vicious cycle of abandoned street children. To work to end the epidemic vicious cycle of poverty resulting from single, unprepared mothers and fatherless children in Venezuela with a coherent, structured and easily applicable educational program. To lead our team of experts in creating, updating, testing and improving educational curricula for the promotion of the universal values of integrity and responsibility in the modern world, constantly adapting to present challenges. To lead a concerted and special effort to teach the logic of the universally recognized values, and the logic of the Golden Rule. We are aware this need exists as not only the streets become dangerous but schools become ever more chaotic. The objective is to help children to grow in an understanding of the need to consider others, in every way, as they would like to be considered. This is the Golden Rule. To be happy and useful, they must learn to respect others, as they want to be respected and to treat others, as they would like to be treated. To educate young mothers in their children's growing experience focused on their future needs to live with human dignity. To design, coordinate and implement local programs in politically, socially and economically stricken Venezuela to help the pregnant mother, as well as their future children, healthy or challenged. To connect families with challenged babies with international experts in pursuit of their true potential, facilitating trained personnel to instruct and implement techniques and methods of achieving tailored programs of human potential at home. This program is called 'Proyecto Leopoldo'. Finally, our mission is to rebuild Venezuela teaching integrity to children and adolescents through this proven method.

Seva Mandir's mission is to make real the idea of society consisting of free and equal citizens who are able to come together and solve the problems that affect them in their particular contexts. The commitment is to work for a paradigm of development and governance that is democratic and polyarchic. Seva Mandir seeks to institutionalise the idea that development and governance is not only to be left to the State and its formal bodies like the legislature and the bureaucracy, but that citizens and their associations should engage separately and jointly with the State. The mission briefly, is to construct the conditions in which citizens of plural backgrounds and perspectives can come together and deliberate on how they can work to benefit and empower the least advantaged in society.

We are a South African registered charity dedicated to encouraging disadvantaged individuals and communities to develop to their full potential in sport, education and health. We are committed to using sport as a tool to develop the disadvantaged and vulnerable youth. We do this by; 1. Using direct sports coaching - for its health benefits, improved emotional well being and increased life skills (teamwork, leadership, decision making, communication). 2. Using sport to discuss critical issues - by delivering curriculums on topics such as HIV / AIDS awareness in a fun and interactive manner on the sports field. 3. Using sport for improved education - by providing pathways to success for talented and dedicated individuals through scholarships to top local schools and tertiary education.

We are the local member nation representative of Junior Achievement Worldwide a global education non-for profit organization that began activities in the United States, founded by Horace Moses, Theodore Vail, and Sen. Junior Achievement began as a collection of small, after-school business clubs with educational and work training programs taught to public and private schools students. Currently, JA is present in 112 countries and almost everywhere in Latin America. We offer students and schools a wide portfolio of financial education education programs for them to receive the benefit of practical training that serves complement the traditional studies programs and facilitate young's people personal and professional development. We teach basic economics/business concepts and work training. We teach fundamental values for an integral development of young people. We offer managerial training of diverse types of virtual companies. We create dialogue opportunities between staff members of Companies and the students in order to offer an attractive image of the business world. YOUTH FOR CHRIST - GENERAL OVERVIEW The NGO Youth for Christ in Montevideo, Uruguay. Youth for Christ is an autonomous, non-profit organization. Since it began 40 years ago, Youth for Christ has worked actively to come along side marginalized population in Uruguay through formal programs. Our action is oriented primarily toward children, adolescents, young people and their families on three levels of intervention: - Personal (seeking holistic development) - Within the family and community (work to strengthen families, develop local networks, and encourage participation) - Political and structural (participate in constructing Social Policies and effective methods of intervention) In 1989, we began to work formally with the State and formed the Civil Society Organization Youth for Christ, Uruguay. Since then we have operated collectively with State organisms, International Organisms, and a wide variety of NGOs (non-government organizations) that work in the country. In Youth for Christ we run politically as a civil society organization. The General Assembly of partners is the sovereign body, which appoints a Board of Directors. This Board operates on an honorary basis and has a predetermined term of service. Youth for Christ works with a clear north, challenging but possible with Jesus Christ, which we express with simplicity in our mission: - Promote a culture in tune with the gospel and its values of justice, peace, solidarity, tolerance, love, and respect for the diversity. - For part of the Youth for Christ International family, adhering to the shared vision and mission of the organization.

Our mission is to aid and support children suffering from poverty, sickness, lack of education or who have experienced physical or moral violence, by offering them the opportunity and the hope of a new life. It is an independent, lay organisation and is also designated an ONLUS (Non-profit organisation of social value). It operates without discrimination of culture, ethnicity and religion and upholds the United Nations rights of the child. The Foundation works around the world and is closest to the weakest and most neglected children offering them food, medicine, health care, education and programmes for social reintegration. In pursuing its goal, Mission Bambini is inspired by the following values: freedom, justice, truth, respect for others and solidarity.

Our purpose is to reduce poverty, bring hope and solidarity to poor communities or individuals in France and worldwide. We bring assistance to families, children and young people but also to the most vulnerable (homelesses, migrants, prisoners etc.). We fight against isolation, help them to find employement and we ensure their social reintegration. We provide emergency responses but also long term support, development aid and we work on the causes of poverty. The action of Secours Catholique finds all its meaning in a global vision of poverty which aims at restoring the human person's dignity and is part and parcel of sustainable development. This daily mission led in the field by the local teams and delegations, with the support of national headquarters, pursues three major objectives which aim at exceeding the distribution action and limited aid: Receiving to reply to the primary needs (supplying food and/or health care aid, proposing accommodation, establishing an exchange and a fraternal dialogue, etc) Supporting to restore social ties (bringing together people in difficulty with an aim to reinsertion, encouraging personal initiatives and collective projects, establishing a mutual support helper-receiver of help relationship, etc) Developing to strengthen solidarity (proposing long lasting solutions, establishing a follow-up over the long term, encouraging collective actions carried out by people in difficulty etc.)

Provide financial and emotional support, and any other assistance to young people in financial difficulties, who are willing to improve their reality through formal study.

Our mission is to contribute to the formation of the individual through the study and dissemination of culture with an approach that integrates the arts and sciences, whilst promoting the generation of new civic values, quality of life and spaces for social integration.
