David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is an adaptable and flexible, non-bureaucratic organisation responding promptly to conservation threats by supporting trusted, reputable individuals and organisations operating in the field. Lean on administration but generous on funding, the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation supports a range of innovative, vital and far-reaching projects throughout Africa and Asia, achieving real results for wildlife survival by: - sending undercover agents into the field to investigate illegal wildlife crime, training and supplying anti-poaching patrols - establishing nature reserves and other protected areas - working with governments to establish conservation laws and regulations - educating wildlife consumers about the plight of the animals they 'use' - teaching young people about endangered wildlife through art and school projects

Kevin Richardson Foundation NPC

The Kevin Richardson Foundations aims to preserve habitat and garner protection and awareness for Africa's most iconic specie, the lion. The lion is under threat and scientists predict that by 2050, there will be no lions remaining in the wild. This blindspot in conservation is a challenge because of the total systemic complexity in which the lion exists. Our foundation seeks to address this issue from all angles through: 1. Buying up large tracts of land to preserve in perpetuity for lions and thus other wildlife species 2. Educate and empower rural communities living on the fringes of wildlife habitats so as to show meaningful benefit to conserving the wildlife surrounding them. Through providing opportunities for nature sensitization (especially for students) and respond to the immediate needs of these communities, we hope to help break the destructive habits of poaching and the bush meat trade. 3. Collaborate with a wide range of like minded individuals - we welcome scientists, artists, students, house moms, influencers, anyone with a passion for conserving the lion and other species, to come together to creatively pool our talent and resources to find innovative ways to address issues such as captive lion breeding, canned hunting and cub petting and help bring an end to these barbaric practices. historically we have worked with closely with scientists, especially those of the University of Pretoria's Wildlife Management Programme in their Carnivore studies to help provide more data on protecting big cats and improving their care when in captive situations or undergoing translocation. 4. Protect and maintain the Kevin Richardson wildlife sanctuary which is home to 40 predators rescued from the captive breeding and canned hunting industry. These animals deserve a safe and enriched lifelong home.

Wadadee Cares e.V.

Wadadee cares Conception: Mission & Vision Wadadee Cares is a non-profit organisation supporting charitable institutions in Windhoek, Namibia, in the location of Katutura. Our projects are primarily focused on benefiting orphans and vulnerable children, to ensure a better future not only for the children but also for Namibia at large. Our goal is to finance the basic daily needs for these children in different local Namibian institutions, such as children homes, shelters, pre-primary schools, kindergartes, day care institutions and soupkitchens. This guarantees a healthy nutrition and medical care, which are basics for a regular daily life, as well as safety and security, housing and warmth and care. Additionally, Wadadee cares focuses on ensuring sustainable investment in the children and their environment to give them education, health and security for their future. Future-oriented support is particularly important in the field of education, as we at Wadadee believe that education is the greatest equalizer and would break any future cycle of poverty, unemployment and diseases. We are trying to comply with the principles of sustainable development aid in our work in Namibia by not keeping our (partner) projects at the expense of the people of Namibia or future generations. Our mission requires social development that is ecologically compatible, socially fair and economically efficient.

Sportstec Foundation Trust

We believe in the value that sport serves to develop the social, mental, physical and intellectual dimensions of the individual; and by extension enable the individual not only to develop self but to contribute positively towards national and international development. Our vision is to inspire, empower and capacitate individuals, communities, government and private sector partners to develop 'sporting networks and pathways' that create sustainable integrated sport development and sport for change models. We provide (implement) solutions to sustainable, responsible and integrated sport development and sport for change models from the Cradle to the Podium - Early Childhood Development (ECD), School Physical Education and Sport, Education, Community Sport and Development, Youth Leadership, Coach and Teacher Development and Talent Identification. We also support government departments (international, national, provincial and local), NGO's, CSR initiatives, that believe in the value of sport, or the value in using sport as a vehicle for change. Any funded programme conceptualised or implemented by Sportstec at district, provincial or national level will serve as an official institutionalised programme of the Department of Basic Education. We have worked in all provinces within the country and have successfully implemented programmes for corporates and funders such as UNICEF and the MrPrice Foundation. Further beneficiaries of Sportstec Foundation Trust, are members of a rural community in the KwaZulu Natal Province called Geluksburg . In order to improve the living conditions for children and youth in this rural area the objective of our programme is to create Rural Community Sport Networks (RCSN). The focus of the RCSN zones is on the opportunity for the youth in rural communities to participate in sport, physical activity and personal development through life skill messaging, thereby giving them an alternative to social ills and risky behaviour and developing a sense of purpose for their future. The programme includes a holistic approach to development and is aligned to Government objectives for rural development, youth development, education, social development, as well as health and sport and recreation.
