Educateurs sans Frontieres (EsF), a division of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), is a network of Montessori practitioners, working with communities, governments and other partners to advance human development from the prenatal stage to early childhood care and education, continuing through to elementary, adolescence, adulthood and the elderly.

In the areas of caregiving, supporting people with disabilities, hospices, in the social counseling centers, on assignment for families in need or for older people who cannot afford heating. CARITAS AUSTRIA - this comprises its fulltime staff, but above all, also the roughly 50.000 volunteers and each and every one of you who supports our work. CARITAS AUSTRIA's main activities are aiming at social support and advocacy for those in need. These activities are taking place in Austria and abroad, whereas the main focus is lying on national work in Austria. KITO ONLUS is a nonprofit organization with exclusively purposed of social solidarity, most in the field of education and primary school in developing countries or emergency. KITO ONLUS considers school as the best tool to get children back to ordinary life and help them overcome traumas a conflict or natural disaster might provoke in each of them. Therefore, it recognizes the importance of the right to education, especially in emergency contexts. The organization is aimed to pursue the following goals: Financing, development and building of basic structures in developing countries or in countries affected by famines, natural disasters and armed conflicts; Assistance to people victims of wars, famines, natural disasters, violence and violation of human rights; Designing of basic structures for scholastic employment; Relization of expandable, aggregatable and transportable schoolhouses (or health centers); Developing of participatory processes with the beneficiaries in the structures installation; Increasing wealth of students, teachers and scholastic staff, through policies aimed to improve their living conditions, namely health, nutrition, social services and security of children.
Established in 1981, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is one of the world's largest environmental education organisations, with over 100 member organisations in 81 countries. At the heart of the FEE are our five programmes. Coordinated by the Head Office in Copenhagen and implemented by our members around the world, our programmes aim to bring positive change on a global scale: The internationally recognized Eco-Schools programme engages young people in quality environmental education and meaningful action. Through a seven-step framework, pupils are empowered and motivated to drive change and improve environmental awareness in their school, local community and beyond. Close to 50,000 schools around the world are part of the Eco-Schools programme. Learning about Forests (LEAF) advocates for outdoor learning and hands-on experiences, allowing students to connect with nature and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world. While the LEAF programme started with a focus on tree-based ecosystems, today it includes a diversity of ecosystems to foster skills and knowledge by exposing learners to outdoor experiences. LEAF is implemented in 28 countries. Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is an award-winning programme that empowers young people to take an educated stand on environmental issues they feel strongly about and gives them a platform to articulate these issues through the media of writing, photography and video. Over 300,000 students engage in the YRE programme yearly. The iconic Blue Flag programme is one of the world's most recognized eco-tourism awards for beaches, marinas, and tourist boat operators. In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and maintained. Over 5,000 beaches, marinas and tourism boats are currently awarded. Green Key is a voluntary eco-certification programme. With more than 4,000 certified hotels and other establishments in 60 countries, Green Key is the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism and hospitality industry. With 40 years of impactful experience in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), FEE's strategic plan - GAIA 20:30 - prioritises climate action across all five programmes to address the urgent threats of climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental pollution. FEE's Environmental Education Principles The member organisations of FEE have agreed upon these principles to guide our work towards excellence in EE/ESD: 1. Ensure that participants are engaged in the learning/teaching process. 2. Encourage participants to make reasonable decisions and actions on real life sustainability issues. 3. Encourage participants to work together actively and involve their communities in collaborative solutions. 4. Support participants to examine their assumptions, knowledge, and experiences, in order to develop critical thinking and to be open to change. 5. Encourage participants to be aware of cultural practices as an integral part of sustainability issues. 6. Encourage participants to share inspirational stories of their achievements, failures, and values, to learn from them and to support each other. 7. Established in Italy in 2020, Teach for Italy - Insegnare per l'Italia is a not-forprofit organisation working to strengthen the Italian education system, and address growing educational inequalities. The organization recruits the best undergraduates, graduates or young professionals and places them in a higher education Fellowship program lasting two years, with the aim of bringing them into the Italian educational ecosystem. In these two years, teachers-Fellows teach in schools where the challenges of educational poverty is greatest, while being trained and supported to become "transformative teachers", committed to shaping not only the educational outcomes of their students, but also their view of the world and their identities. Through its activities, Teach For Italy promotes a future where all students at all levels, from pre-school to secondary school, can realize their aspirations, regardless of their economic and social background and the educational level of their family. Our mission is to strengthen the Italian education system. Our goal is to generate impact on three levels: in the classroom, in communities surrounding our schools and in the broader educational ecosystem. Our Mission: We want elevate the role of teachers by selecting and training young talents to teach in environments where the challenges of educational poverty are greatest. The Slovenian Society for Dog Assisted Therapy Tacke pomagacke links together members who visit different institutions together with their dogs. The Society, which was founded in 2007, is a humanitarian, non-profit association of physical persons and works in the public interest. The financial means for its activities derive from membership fees and donations from firms and individuals. The members of the Society are volunteers, and also members of the Slovenian Network of Voluntary Organizations. We are proud of carrying out useful and worthwhile work. In 2008 the Slovenian Society for Dog Assisted Therapy Tacke pomagacke was chosen as Benefactor of the Year. Dogs are faithful, irreplaceable companions. They can have an encouraging influence on complete strangers, as is amply confirmed by scientific research. Increasingly, professional staff in hospitals, institutions, old people's homes, schools and nursery schools acknowledge that dogs can make a decisive contribution to the progress of individuals. As skilful motivators, dogs are welcome in work with children having special needs, with individuals who have suffered injuries, with the debilitated, with cancer patients, and with patients suffering from neurological and degenerative illnesses. Dogs bring happiness and courage, successfully overcome the difficulties due to human reserve and contribute positively to creating a relaxed working atmosphere. They stimulate individuals or a group to cooperate actively, and so are excellent companions for young people and children in nursery schools and schools with a normal programme. In Slovenia there is an increasing demand for visits from therapy dogs of the Tacke pomagacke Society. We visit widely differing institutions, including the Soca University Rehabilitation Institute, the Rakitna Youth Climatic Health Centre, many old people's homes, institutions (for those with psycho-physical difficulties), libraries, nursery schools, primary and secondary schools, etc. The work in these institutions takes place in cooperation with a wide range of professional personnel: occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, special needs teachers, speech therapists, schoolteachers, nursery staff, etc. All our dogs have a suitable character, regular veterinary check-ups, are obedience trained, and have also received specific training for their work. The Society has 71 active therapy pairs (the dog and the handler form a pair; both have participated in the Society's internal training), of these 39 have the R.E.A.D. licence. Members of the Tacke pomagacke Society (this is the short form of the official name) carry out the following programmes: Animal Assisted Therapy - AAT, Animal Assisted Activity - AAA, Animal Assisted Education - AAE, R.E.A.D. programme (Reading Education Assistance Dogs), social activities, presentations for children and young people in nursery schools, schools and at various public events.
WISDOM FOR CHANGE We believe in the possibility of being in the world more wisely, for the benefit of all sentient beings and the entire ecosystem. Wisdom, which allows us to recognize the interconnectedness of all phenomena, is the tool by which we can build a more equitable and compassionate society. Our name tells our mission. Wise in English means "wise," dana in Indian pali language means "to give." Wisedana therefore means "to give wisely". While remaining a secular organization, our values and activities are within the Buddhist philosophical perimeter. We encourage the practice of mindful generosity, which according to various Buddhist schools is the first of the virtues to be cultivated in order to overcome ignorance, understood as the main culprit of suffering in the world. Generosity is thus a tool that has an extraordinary transformative power, capable of building effective responses to the most important social problems. Wisedana is an international philanthropic foundation that draws on the values of the Buddhist tradition while expressing itself in a secular form. It caters to philanthropists who wish to be active in building a more equitable, wise and compassionate world by promoting systemic changes in humanitarian, ecological, social, educational, cultural, and fragility care. As Wisedana Foundation, we intend to be the catalysts for systemic change inspired by the values of the Buddhist tradition, leading to the elimination of suffering and major critical issues in the world today. Our role is to identify the actors, synergies, resources and strategies to achieve this and to connect them with the right philanthropists, men and women of our time who wish to nurture the seeds of wise change. We therefore intend to act both as a "quality advisor" capable of recognizing and supporting systemic change in all its activities, and as a "philanthropic actor" in synergy internationally with key stakeholders interested in supporting systemic change toward a wiser world. By "systemic change" we mean a strategy for responding to problems that starts by conceiving of each critical issue as a complex system, which must therefore be addressed through a multilateral and multidisciplinary analysis. The result of this composite analysis is a strategy of approaching the problem from multiple perspectives, taking into consideration all the actors involved and questioning the sustainability of the proposed solution. The value framework of Buddhism allows for a full understanding of the complexity of reality: every being is naturally connected to all others in a relationship of infinite reciprocity, and every arrangement of the world is only temporary and constantly changing. In accepting this condition-now increasingly evident in globalized society-we understand that the only way to effectively intervene in the world is precisely through systemic change. The tool we use is generosity (or philanthropy, which is its organized form) as an experience of relationship toward the other, as a powerful gesture of transformation capable of activating the vocation of individuals to participate in the common good and social change.
United Way Spain seeks to improve lives of the most vulnerable by mobilizing the caring power of Spanish communities to advance the common good. We work mainly, but not only, in three areas. HEALTH, EDUCATION and EMPLOYABILITY (the basis of economic stability) are the three main indicators of human progress according to the UN and the three areas on which our activity is focused. In Spain there are problems which giving a solution in the present will be crucial to build a better future for everyone. These problems often stem from a precarious social cohesion that has very specific faces. We combat local problems: Energy poverty, child obesity, the loneliness of the elderly, the inequalities caused by climate change, school dropout rates (of which Spain and Italy are at the forefront in Europe), the lack of references for young people, the digital divide, gender inequality, barriers to accessing the labor market The issues we address are multiple and changing, each community has its specific difficulties. Joining forces is the most effective response to combat them. We provide specific solutions: United Way Spain develops social impact projects and connects those who can carry them out in each community. We design and coordinate solutions adapted to specific needs: food distribution, support for the elderly, promotion of healthy habits, school support, STEM education, access to employment, technological training, financial and environmental education, fundraising for urgent crises, support for families in paying for supplies, promotion of social involvement and a long etcetera.
Bringing access to knowledge where it's most needed Since 2007, Bibliotheques Sans Frontieres (Libraries Without Borders) has worked to bring knowledge and information to people in need. We provide access and resources that connect people to books and digital resources, expanding the reach of libraries, training facilitators in post-emergency situations, and addressing the needs of under-resourced communities. From laundromats in Oakland, California, to refugee camps in Bangladesh, we bring tools to reduce inequality of access to information and knowledge.

Currently, we areItaly's largest provider of education programmes for entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy, reaching the highest number of students in Italy being approximately 60,000 every year. Founded in 2002, JA Italy is now deeply involved the education and business communities as well as with the public administration with the strong commitment to provide young people from primary school to university with experiences that build the skills and competences they will need to succeed in a global economy. JA Italy is part of the European network JA Europe which is the European Regional Operating Centre forJA Worldwide. During all these years we had the opportunity to understand the peculiarities of the Italian educational system and the needs of Italian pupils, also by mean of our global monitoring of different educational systems around the globe. Since the beginning, we focus our activities to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture for Italian kids and therefore the committee did suggest to launch an innovative program about entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity called "Impresa in azione" based on the student mini-enterprise tool (Company program). This program was very well accepted also by the public administration and therefore entered the schools with a MoU signed by the Ministry of Education and it is, since 2015, an official programme under the "school-work exchange" plan of the Ministry. In 2019/20 over 10,000 secondary school students (15/19 years old) followed this program. Today, JA Italia's nationwide programmes offer school students the possibility to live a real business experience. The programmes focus on: career guidance, improving the competences teenagers will need in vocational training, enhancing their employment prospects, teaching them business knowledge and instilling key skills. Students learn together, trying out the basic principles of entrepreneurship and acquiring the business acumen and core social skills which they will need in their future careers.
