CARITAS AUSTRIA is an internationally operating non-profit organisation (donations are tax-deductible Reg. Nr. SO1126; equivalent 501(c)(3) US organization) under the mission of the Austrian Catholic church and pursues solely and directly charitable and benevolent objectives. CARITAS AUSTRIA relief work addresses the needy in their entirety, taking also into consideration their physical, psychological and spiritual-religious backgrounds. CARITAS AUSTRIA commits itself to providing assistance to people in need which is done without regard to creed, ethnicity or ideology of those seeking help. In its operations CARITAS AUSTRIA is guided by respect for the dignity and self-determination of the people it serves. There are more than 1,000 places throughout Austria where CARITAS AUSTRIA helps people in need. In the areas of caregiving, supporting people with disabilities, hospices, in the social counseling centers, on assignment for families in need or for older people who cannot afford heating. CARITAS AUSTRIA - this comprises its fulltime staff, but above all, also the roughly 50.000 volunteers and each and every one of you who supports our work. CARITAS AUSTRIA's main activities are aiming at social support and advocacy for those in need. These activities are taking place in Austria and abroad, whereas the main focus is lying on national work in Austria. Inside and outside of Austria, CARITAS AUSTRIA always aims at addressing the basic needs of the vulnerable taking also into consideration their social and cultural background.

PLAY International is a charity founded in 1999 on a conviction: sport is a source of solutions to our societal challenges. Its mission is to cocreate and implement education and inclusion projects for children and youth in vulnerable situations, using sport and sport games as educational tools. The NGO works in particular on issues such as access to and retention in school, gender equalitý, community reconciliation, health prevention, environmental education, living together, changing the way we look at disability... Since its creation, it has implemented educational and humanitarian projects, in France and internationally in 20 countries, for the benefit of nearly one million children.

The Kreisau-Initiative e.V. was founded 1989 to address the need for international understanding, democratic education, and active engagement in human rights, particularly in response to Europe's history of division, conflict, and authoritarianism. The Kreisau-Initiative is committed to promoting democracy, human rights, social inclusion, and sustainability through international educational programs and cross-cultural dialogue. Rooted in the legacy of the Kreisau Circle, a German resistance group against Nazism, its mission is to empower individuals - especially young people - to actively shape just, inclusive, and democratic societies. At its core, the Kreisau-Initiative responds to persistent social challenges such as discrimination, social exclusion, extremism, and a lack of opportunities for youth participation in shaping democratic, inclusive societies. Recognizing that many young people - especially those from marginalized backgrounds - face barriers to education, empowerment, and cross-cultural exchange, the organization promotes non-formal education as a tool for social change. Today, the need for fostering social cohesion, gender equality, human rights awareness, and sustainability remains as urgent as ever. The Kreisau-Initiative continues to address these challenges by creating spaces for learning, dialogue, and action, empowering individuals to become active, responsible members of a democratic and diverse Europe. Seva Mandir seeks to institutionalise the idea that development and governance is not only to be left to the State and its formal bodies like the legislature and the bureaucracy, but that citizens and their associations should engage separately and jointly with the State. The mission briefly, is to construct the conditions in which citizens of plural backgrounds and perspectives can come together and deliberate on how they can work to benefit and empower the least advantaged in society.

The International Blue Cross is one of the world's leading non-governmental organisations, caring for people harmed by or at risk from alcohol or illicit drug use. Our project work in prevention, treatment & counselling and aftercare focuses primarily on young and vulnerable people, and on those in extreme poverty. Through carefully researched and targeted interventions we advocate for evidence-based alcohol policies at the national and international level. In doing so, we seek to draw positive and dignified attention to the issues faced by dependent people and their families. An estimated 800,000 children in the European Union are separated from an imprisoned parent on any given day. Yet few people are aware of the impact that a parent's incarceration can have on a child. Children separated from a parent in prison frequently experience multiple emotional and social difficulties associated with their parent's incarceration. They not only have to cope with the parent's absence and the disruption of the child-parent bond, but are also vulnerable to social exclusion, financial hardship, discrimination and shame. Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE) is a pan-European network which encourages innovative perspectives and practice to ensure that the rights of these children (as enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European Convention on Human Rights) are fully respected and that action is taken to secure their well-being and healthy development. The network is a membership-based organisation made up of non-governmental organisations and individuals across Europe and beyond, linked by a staff team based at its French headquarters. Raising awareness among child-related agencies, prison services and policymakers to the specific needs of children of prisoners and promoting initiatives that take these needs into account, the organisation is seeking to: - Expand programmes that support the child-parent relationship and help minimise violence for children with an imprisoned parent; - Introduce the child's perspective throughout the criminal justice process, from arrest to resettlement; - Foster cross-sectoral collaboration among public and private agencies involved in supporting and making decisions about children of prisoners; - Obtain better information and greater visibility for prisoners' children and influence policy at the national, European and international level on their behalf; - Promote the exchange of initiatives, expertise and good practice for children with imprisoned parents; - Enhance the competence of professionals within the field. Working to foster the promotion and provision of policies, frameworks and meaningful action on behalf of children affected by parental incarceration to protect their development and well-being, our aim is to ease the burden of the imprisonment of a parent on the child.

The English College in Prague was established, and continues to exist, to provide an English-medium education for young people in Prague, primarily of Czech origin, which is second to none academically but also develops every individual's potential to the full and prepares them for the practical, social, intellectual and moral challenges that they will face in today's globalised society.
