The Angel Foundation for Learning aims to ensure that all TCDSB students are equally able to participate in opportunities that sustain and enhance the educational process including: student nutrition programs, class trips, leadership activities, bursaries and funding for social work emergency needs, for instance: eyeglasses, hearing aids, food vouchers and other essentials for TCDSB students in need.

We are Canadians who want to reduce suicide and its impact in Canada. We represent experts and volunteers, school and community suicide prevention initiatives, mental health workers, researchers, crisis centres and families who have been impacted by suicide. We are survivors of loss. Among us, we have lost children, parents, family members, neighbours, friends, patients and clients. So have most of you. We want to end the silence. We want to ease the suffering, to heal our communities and our neighbours, as we have healed ourselves. We want to prevent others from experiencing such pain and such loss.

Camp Fircom is a remote summer camp for children, youth and families. We strive to provide positive and supportive camping/outdoor experiences for all people, regardless of their ability to pay. We have a focus on creating a strong social atmosphere, and providing youth with transformative experiences of responsibility and leadership.

Mizrachi Canada encompasses the philosophy of Religious Zionism in daily life - Torah V'Avodah, through our local programs including: BNEI AKIVA, YAVNE, BEIT MIDRASH ZICHRON DOV (YU/KTM KOLLEL), CAMP MOSHAVA ENNISMORE and MOSHAVA BAI'R DAY CAMP and assists educational and social welfare programs in Israel. Scouting has an important role in the lives of today’s youth. Scouting promotes the importance of values such as integrity, honesty, responsibility, patriotism, courtesy, perseverance, cooperation, tolerance, teamwork, leadership and respect for community, nature and spirituality. In the 2008-2009 Scouting year, for the first time in a quarter of a century, membership in Scouting across Canada has increased. We are working hard so that more youth have the opportunity to benefit from a Scouting experience. As the organization grows, more and more youth in need of financial assistance are identified.

Founded in 1983, the BBPA is a non-profit, charitable organization that addresses equity and opportunity for the Black community in business, employment, education and economic development. The BBPA sponsors the annual BBPA Harry Jerome Awards, a national awards event that recognizes and honours excellence in achievement and supports higher education through the BBPA Harry Jerome Scholarship Fund. In addition the BBPA provides networking opportunities for entrepreneurs and professionals.

Since 1983 Children's Place has offered a wide range of flexible, accessible, FREE early learning & family support programs. Today we serve over 2000 families from 11 different locations in central west Toronto. Programs include: family drop-ins, child development activities focusing on & exploring senses & developing motor skills, occasional childcare, community outreach, family literacy, food & nutrition support, parent & caregiver support & education, peer contact & mutual support, play & recreation, health & safety promotion, information about & referrals to other resources, toy & book lending. Our staff and volunteers are able to communicate in different languages including English, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Somali, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu & Italian. Participants include: young children 0 to 6, parents, expectant parents, very young parents, parents/caregivers/children with special needs, grandparents, nannies & home providers, newcomer & immigrant families.

Lanark County Interval House is a shelter and support network for women and their children who have experienced abuse. We work with women & children across Lanark County Ontario including the towns of Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Perth, Almonte and all of the rural areas in between. Our emergency shelter accommodates 15 women and children at one time. Here we provide a 24-hr help/crisis line, safety, counselling for both women and children and advocacy to help women navigate systems on her journey to a successful violent-free life. Our Outreach programs provide counselling, advocacy and diverse support groups for women and children affected by abuse and sexual violence. Our public education program provides workshops, presentations, and resources to our communities and schools about violence against women, healthy relationships, and gender roles and stereotypes. We work towards ending the cycle of violence against women and children.

The Alzheimer Society Sarnia-Lambton offers education, caregiver respite, support services & resource materials to people with Alzheimer's disease or releated dementias, family members, caregivers and service providers. Currently, there are over 2,500 people in Lambton County with dementia. This number is expected to triple in the next 25 years.

The Huntsman has been an active steward of the ocean resource by finding ways to educate citizens about the oceans for the past 40 years. The education programs of the Huntsman have been pioneering; knowledge-based activities that have influenced the development of highly qualified personnel in the marine sciences and the oceans industry sector of the Canadian economy. The hands-on school programs have engaged over 35,000 students - ranging from elementary school age to university graduate level. For many, it is their first introduction to the Canadian Atlantic region.

The Nalanda Translation Committee creates fresh and authentic translations of Tibetan practice texts and commentaries in English and other Western languages; translates from a variety of other genres of Tibetan Buddhist literature, including biographies, songs of realization, philosophy, and culture; publishes those texts to ensure quality and consistency; teaches and transmits practices, to increase students' understanding of their significance and cultural background; and helps with the presentation of Buddhist and Shambhala ceremonies and practices.

Daytrippers is a registered charity led by a volunteer group of young professionals dedicated to giving back to the community. Daytrippers-sponsored trips are often the only vehicle through which underprivileged children can explore the world beyond their neighbourhoods and gain new perspectives on the world. Thanks to funds raised by Daytrippers, inner-city children have visited conservation areas, gone camping, and walked through a forest for the first time. And children from rural areas have visited Parliament in Ottawa, the Royal Ontario Museum, and many other cultural institutions that are inaccessible in their home environment. We cannot run these trips without your help.
