WILD PACIFIC TRAIL SOCIETY

The Wild Pacific Trail is a hiking and interpretive trail located in the village of Ucluelet. The trail skirts the rugged cliffs and shoreline along the West Coast of Vancouver Island. It overlooks Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west. Our Vision is to create a spectacular trail system tracing scenic and cultural areas on the Ucluth Peninsula, especially the outer coast from Amphitrite lighthouse to the beaches of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. The trail offers an outdoor hiking experience that is free and appropriate for all fitness levels, for many generations to come. Our goal is to maintain a trail corridor that preserves a natural setting and enhances the walking experience through interpretive signage about culture, history and nature.

FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN IN FILM & TELEVISION - TORONTO

The Foundation raises money for bursaries so under-represented women, and women with limited financial means can attend WIFT-T programs. As part of our strategic plan, we will also be launching a fundraising campaign to update our groundbreaking study Frame Work: Employment in Canadian Screen-Based Media-A National Profile. The Foundation also allows us to hold networking events that support the industry as a whole. Your donation will help directly support women in screen-based media (film, television and digital media) to build, advance and sustain their careers nationally and internationally.

Historica Canada

Welcome to Historica Canada, the largest, independent organization dedicated to Canadian history, identity and citizenship. Canada needs a strong, non-partisan advocate of civic engagement. Why us? Because too many Canadians do not know their past, and it weakens our democracy. Nor do we know enough about the nature of our citizenship. The Historica-Dominion Institute’s mission, then, is to promote our memory and celebrate our identity. To become—in an imaginative, relevant way—the future of the past in Canada. Today, more than 140 years after Confederation, Canadians wonder who we are. A commitment to the story of Canada is not only a commitment to remember our ancestors and the country they built; it represents the soul of our citizenship.
