Sunburst Children's Centre is a non profit charitable workplace childcare centre licensed under the Ontario Day Nurseries Act by The Ministry of Education and is located in the Environment Canada building at 4905 Dufferin Street. Sunburst opened its doors in September 1982, and is operated by a volunteer board of directors elected primarily from the parent users. Sunburst is a quality workplace childcare centre giving enrollment priority to employees of the federal government. Spaces available are then open to the community. The centre is licensed for 41 children, distributed as 10 infants (0 to 18 months), 15 toddlers (18 to 30 months) and 16 preschoolers (2 ½ - 5 years).

Our objectives are: To plan, develop and deliver social and heath care programs for communities within the Skeena Health Unit District To support community involvement through participation with other agencies, societies and citizens To act as an advocate for social and economic improvement throughout the region To promote community awareness of social and health care issues To work with federal and provincial health and welfare planning and fund raising organizations in order to achieve community based services

Founded in 1983, the BBPA is a non-profit, charitable organization that addresses equity and opportunity for the Black community in business, employment, education and economic development. The BBPA sponsors the annual BBPA Harry Jerome Awards, a national awards event that recognizes and honours excellence in achievement and supports higher education through the BBPA Harry Jerome Scholarship Fund. In addition the BBPA provides networking opportunities for entrepreneurs and professionals.

CMCC is a fully accredited academic institution recognized as one of the most rigorous and innovative chiropractic programs in North America. The Toronto based campus features modern teaching and laboratory space, the largest English language chiropractic library in Canada, and a network of community based clinics serving a diverse patient base with more than 74,000 patient visits each year. Founded in 1945, CMCC is a not for profit charitable organization. CMCC receives no direct government funding and relies on tuition, membership and community / alumni donations to fund its operations. Your contribution to CMCC will help us create leaders in spinal health and support research aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, a leading cause of long-term disability. Improved care for these disorders can relieve the strain on health care systems around the world by helping millions of patients regain the ability to lead healthy, active lives.

The Angel Foundation for Learning aims to ensure that all TCDSB students are equally able to participate in opportunities that sustain and enhance the educational process including: student nutrition programs, class trips, leadership activities, bursaries and funding for social work emergency needs, for instance: eyeglasses, hearing aids, food vouchers and other essentials for TCDSB students in need.

As a registered charity, the Children’s Aid Foundation raises funds for programs of the Children’s Aid Society and other child welfare organizations that support children in three critical areas: Education programs that give children a chance to pursue their dreams and build successful lives for themselves, Enrichment programs that provide recreational and cultural opportunities so that disadvantaged children can experience healthy development, and Prevention programs that provide support for families before abuse and neglect begin.
