Founded in 2016 and legally registered in the year 2028. Implicit Effect Community Initiative (IECI) was born from a resolute determination to break down barriers hindering economic freedom for Uganda's vulnerable children and youth. The organization has an extended focus to women, being the primary care takers or our target group. Our founders, witnessed the urgent need to address limited education access, unemployment, gender inequality, and unsafe environments. This catalyzed IECI's inception, and since then, we have impacted over 21,000 children, 13,000 youth, and 7,542 women, fostering empowerment, education, and inclusion in a transformative journey towards a more equitable society. The organization was initially called implicit effect Admonitors Agency. Due feedback from partners and review by the board, in the year 2022/23 the Name was changed to Implicit Effect Community Initiative. It is at the same time the application for the NGO certificate was made. This was adding to the already recognized status as a company limited by guarantee to a non government organization status. Implicit Effect Community Initiative is committed to ending barriers to economic freedom for Children and Youth in Uganda. Our services also extend to women who are the primary care takers to our target group yet also highly vulnerable. IECI is focused on addressing mainly four key barriers: limited access to education, skills, quality health care and access to financial services.
