Implicit Effect Community Initiative

Founded in 2016 and legally registered in the year 2028. Implicit Effect Community Initiative (IECI) was born from a resolute determination to break down barriers hindering economic freedom for Uganda's vulnerable children and youth. The organization has an extended focus to women, being the primary care takers or our target group. Our founders, witnessed the urgent need to address limited education access, unemployment, gender inequality, and unsafe environments. This catalyzed IECI's inception, and since then, we have impacted over 21,000 children, 13,000 youth, and 7,542 women, fostering empowerment, education, and inclusion in a transformative journey towards a more equitable society. The organization was initially called implicit effect Admonitors Agency. Due feedback from partners and review by the board, in the year 2022/23 the Name was changed to Implicit Effect Community Initiative. It is at the same time the application for the NGO certificate was made. This was adding to the already recognized status as a company limited by guarantee to a non government organization status. Implicit Effect Community Initiative is committed to ending barriers to economic freedom for Children and Youth in Uganda. Our services also extend to women who are the primary care takers to our target group yet also highly vulnerable. IECI is focused on addressing mainly four key barriers: limited access to education, skills, quality health care and access to financial services. Our efforts however address the following critical needs: o Limited Access to Quality Education: Many children and youth lack access to quality education and skills training, impeding their ability to break free from economic limitations. o Unemployment and Limited Skills: Youth face unemployment due to insufficient- inappropriate skills and opportunities, hindering their economic self-sufficiency. o Limited Entrepreneurial Support: Aspiring entrepreneurs, especially among youth and women, lack access to resources and mentorship to launch and sustain successful businesses. o Public Health and Well-being Challenges: Children, youth, and women face inadequate access to healthcare, contributing to poor health outcomes and limiting their potential for economic advancement. o Gender Inequality and Discrimination: Women and girls encounter systemic gender biases and discrimination, restricting their access to resources and opportunities. o Unsafe Environment (Vulnerability & S/GBV-Climate Change): Vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, are disproportionately affected by climate change and gender-based violence, necessitating targeted interventions for their safety and empowerment. Values: At the heart of our mission, we uphold Integrity, Equity, and Teamwork. Our commitment comes to life through deliberate actions: selecting diverse perspectives, transparent communication, respecting time, and entrusting each member's contribution. Integrity: We ensure honesty and transparency by including the right people in discussions, admitting mistakes, and upholding ethical decisions. Equity: Inclusive conversations involve diverse voices, while fair allocation of responsibilities and trust in each other's capabilities underscore our commitment to equity. Teamwork: Our collaboration thrives with clear, timely communication, respecting each other's time, and trusting one another to fulfill our roles effectively. Implicit Effect Community Initiative will deliver tailored programs and initiatives to cater to the distinct needs of our core beneficiary communities: Comprehensive Learning and Skills Center: A specialized hub providing education, vocational training, leadership and entrepreneurial programs, with a primary emphasis on empowering children and youth. EVIDENCE AND METHODS LAB (EML) LTD

The Evidence and Methods Lab is driven by the mission of "Simplifying Data for Empowerment." Data has immense potential to drive positive change, but only if it's accessible and understandable to all. At EML, we act as a bridge, transforming complex datasets and research across key sectors (public accountability and anti-corruption, human rights, election conflict and violence prevention, and climate change) into clear and engaging formats like visualizations and reports. We foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by equipping individuals and organizations with the skills to interpret and utilize data effectively. This approach enhances transparency, promotes informed decision-making, and empowers communities to advocate for their rights, address social injustices, and push for meaningful change in these critical areas.
