MISSION: Concordia Welfare & Education Foundation is a Hong Kong based non-profit organization founded by Lutheran Christians and dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished rural communities in Asia through education and service. We partner with local communities, organizations and governments to identify sources of poverty and implement programs in the areas of education and community health. We believe education creates opportunities for people to change their lives and create a new future. VISION: Thriving communities, serving and inspiring hope in others.

SCC will develop a committed staff team to work through a network of monks, nuns and other local and national stakeholder groups to develop capacity, reduce vulnerability and provide a range of supports for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families, so that they are able to claim their rights and improve their lives.

"Connecting Cambodian Youth to the skills, opportunities, and inspirations needed to reach their potential." This is the mission of PEPY Empowering Youth, a local non-profit (NGO) focused on educating and empowering youth in underserved and remote communities outside of Siem Reap city. With their team's intimate understanding of barriers affecting students' ability to move onto higher education (many team members are former beneficiaries of PEPY's projects), PEPY staff often become student's first role models while building their capacity to achieve their dreams through academic, technical, and professional training- enabling them to make changes they wish to see in their communities. Through PEPY, students' rates of moving onto higher education and obtaining skilled employment are increasing. PEPY's approach to education development is different because they focus on high school and higher education students, an age group often overlooked, while targeting remote areas where higher education is uncommon and often financially impossible. PEPY's programs are comprehensive and go beyond typical scholarship programs, guaranteeing that students graduate and all of them find jobs while they are still in school.

Our Mission To provide quality values-based English education to under-privileged children and youth in rural areas of Cambodia and equip them with the skills to access opportunities for employment. Our Vision To use English education as a bridge to build a community of shared values in Cambodia, where people work together, to improve their family's economic conditions and enable them to make contributions back to society as a whole. Our Objectives 1. To provide quality English education that focuses on the four macro skills 2. To instil values in our children and youth so they develop ethics to build a strong society in Cambodia 3. To equip the youth with the skills to access opportunities for employment and as a result lift their families out of poverty.

Our mission is to be the charity platform to connect contributors, volunteers, and beneficiaries with the end result being making charitable giving a part of everyone's life. For contributors, we are here to help the contributors to give charitably and deliver help to their preferred and most needed beneficiaries. For beneficiaries, we aim to provide substantial help to people who are less fortunate, with the goal to assist them to be self-sustained and be able to contribute back to the society. For volunteers, we aim to influence and inspire so that when you think back over your life, you will find that the moments that stood out are moments when you did something to help a person in need.

Emerging leaders are identified across religious boundaries and discipled through mentoring, and the facilitation of learning in creative, safe communities so that they can bring encouragement and empowerment to all their contexts.

Public Education in Cambodia faces great challenges and it often fails to provide skills that are useful to access job market. Low-income youth, especially from rural areas, which can't afford private education, doesn't really have the choice to attend high schools or Universities or to choose their own career paths. Salariin Kampuchea is a Cambodian NGO that provides free extra-curriculum English, Computer and Life skills courses to poorest children and young people of Siem Reap province and the rural areas. Siem Reap is the number one tourist destination in Cambodia but also one of the poorest regions in the country, with 51.8% of the population living in poverty. Outside of the tourism sector, Siem Reap offers few economic prospects. The goal of our program is to equip Cambodian youth with the educational tools that will give them the opportunity to choose their own career path, enhancing their lives through education. Our vision is a Cambodia where also low-income young people have access to the opportunities that will enable them to rise out of poverty. Results Our program: increases the retention of pupils at both primary and secondary level. increases the enrollment to secondary-level education and Universities assures good quality job placements for our students. These students wouldn't have enrolled in Universities if they hadn't met SK. In our 2009 outgoing class of 60 students: 50% went on to attend vocational training or study at High School or University. 25% have found a job, using their English skills.

To provide appropriate support to responsible and sustainable projects working in community development, wildlife rescue, and environmental conservation. To raise awareness of the plight of the communities with whom we work and create lifelong ambassadors for the projects with which we work.

The Sophia Akash Foundation's (SAF) mission is to facilitate sustainable paths out of poverty for the world's poor. We recognise that for those living in poverty, the essential services that enable them to build sustainable livelihoods are unaffordable. Our mission is to change that. We help build strong, sustainable Social Enterprises, using innovative solutions to meet the basic needs of poor and unserved communities. With access to affordable basic services such as financial inclusion, primary healthcare, education and others, households can break the cycle of poverty.
