The Village of Glen Williams was established by The Benija Williams in 1840.The Glen Williams Town Hall Board was created on March 28,1870. Its purpose is to manage and maintain the Town Hall building located at 1 Pronce Street, and to organise events and functions of all kinds for the benefit of all citizens in the area. The Town Hall became a registered charity in 1983.

Futurewatch is a nonprofit charitable organization founded in 1993. We foster the development of innovative, collaborative partnerships among diverse stakeholders in Canada and overseas. In Canada, we work cooperatively with local partners to identify community priorities and establish programs that involve people most affected by the issues. Our program incorporate education and action - learning and participation and are geared to people from diverse ethnic backgrounds - Somali, Hispanic and South Asian. FutureWatch brings people Canada's divers population togeether around innovative environmental education initiatives and community projects like the Children's Wildflower Garden at Harbourfront Community Centre. We also have an extensive program to develop youth leaders in these communities. Our successful eco-recreation program - safe canoeing and wilderness outtripping - has been enjoyed by people of all ages and different ethnic backgrounds. It's exhilarating to see a

STCL began in 1987, was officially incorporated in 1992, and is a non-profit, Registered Canadian Charity (1996) based in the Upper Fraser River of the Robson Valley, between the Rocky and Cariboo Mountains of British Columbia, and the towns of Prince George and Jasper. Our goal is to protect ecosystems of old growth cedar, British Columbia’s provincial tree, which scientists say face extinction in less than 15 years.

HELP builds on the inherent strengths of prairie and agrarian culture to create leaders in the helping sciences - both at home and internationally. We carry out research, upscale models and full scale implimentations in forestry, waste recycling, and several applications of phytoremediation. One months per year dedicated to live-in ecology camps for schools. Conservation Klondike is a non-profit society in Dawson City, Yukon. We organize and support a number of conservation-related initiatives in the Klondike region. EEON is a coalition of professionals working to raise awareness of the importance of environmental and sustainability education (E&SE) across sectors of society in our province. EEON has taken the lead by facilitating the development and implementation of a public strategic plan for the growth of environmental learning.

GPI Atlantic is a non-profit research and education organization, founded in 1997, committed to the development of the Genuine Progress Index (GPI) - a new measure of sustainability, wellbeing and quality of life consisting of economic, social and environmental components. GPI Atlantic is a pioneer and leader in quality of life research and is not affiliated with any political party or interest group.

The Burns Bog Conservation Foundation was set up at the direction of the members of the Burns Bog Conservation Society. The purpose is to create an endowment fund so that the capital and interest can used to help the Society carry its purposes. It has a broader mandate in that the Foundation can also fund research on other bogs and wetlands at its descretion.

The Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve is a 10-hectare reserve featuring a freshwater lagoon and forested acreage on the Sunshine Coast, northwest of Vancouver, BC. It is home base for the Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve Society. Each May, the Society hosts the annual Ruby Lake Wood Duck Wilderness Festival which celebrates the natural world and is a popular community event. Since 2003, the focus of the Society has been the construction of a first class Field Studies and Interpretive Centre in the Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve.

Bear mortality related to human conflicts is perhaps the largest single factor affecting long-term population viability. As human populations continue to extend into bear habitat throughout North America, either through residential development, recreational use or industrial use, bear human conflicts increase. Our organization aims to reduce human caused bear mortality and incidents of human-bear conflict. This is achieved through specialized training courses and innovative applied research. We are involved in a variety of initiatives that focus on reducing people’s interactions with bears while living, working and recreating in bear country. These include our unique Bearproof Garbage Bin Loaner Program, Bear Hazard Assessments, and Natural Attractant Management. Please see www.bearconflict.org for more information.
