Established in 1976, Churchill Research Centre, Inc., operating as the Churchill Northern Studies Centre (CNSC) is a registered Canadian charity (CRN 10096 61 75 RP0001). Members of the local community, university researchers and government officials founded the CNSC in 1976 to promote and support northern-based research and education. While supported in part by the Manitoba Department of Advanced Education, the CNSC is neither an extension of government nor a university-owned field station. The Centre is operated by a Board of Directors, an on site administrative staff and volunteers.

We support students and teachers in the K-12 school system, with curriculum-relevant education programs in topics related to energy, water, waste, forests and land use, and climate change. We provide free classroom presentations, outdoor field studies, classroom resource materials, and professional development programs for teachers.

The Wye Marsh is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to connecting people to nature and promoting an understanding of the vital role wetlands play in the environment. Year-round educational and recreational programs for all ages and interests in both official languages are designed to kindle the appreciation and enjoyment of this unique wildlife habitat. You can become a Wye Marsh supporter though many different ways: Adopt a Swan, Adopt a Wild Bird, or Adopt a Bird of Prey. Or become a monthly donor, a simple and affordable way to make a significant gift. The BC Lung Association provides patient, public and professional education programs, advocates for lung health issues and provides support for scientific research into lung health, lung disease and ways lung health can be improved. The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is an environmental advisory and protection agency based out of Kingston, Ontario. Our jurisdiction spans more than 3,500 sq. km of land in 11 different municipalities, including Kingston, Gananoque, Brockville and Newboro. The CRCA owns more than 4000 hectares of conservation land. We purchase land to protect it from being developed, preserve natural features and wildlife habitat, provide public access to the natural environment and undertake water management projects, such as flood control.
