VIFF is among the top five film festivals in North America, with 150,000 admissions and 380 films from 75 countries. The 16-day festival is a microcosm of its home city: cosmopolitan, friendly, culturally complex, laid-back and accessible. VIFF’s slogan is “Same Planet. Different Worlds.” Films are exhibited within 10 main programming strands. Three of these are pillars of the festival and help make it unique: the major Nonfiction Features section (42% of the 232 feature-length films screened in 2009 were docs); the popular Canadian Images program makes VIFF the biggest showcase of Canadian film in the world; and the Dragons & Tigers: The Cinemas of East Asia program is the largest exhibition of East Asian film outside that region.

Guelph Arts Council is the umbrella/co-ordinating body for arts, culture and heritage in the Guelph (Ontario) area. Since the organization was founded in 1975, its major roles have included: facilitating/collaborating in the establishment of community arts projects and groups; providing services including information, resource and administrative services as well as an innovative arts website portal for artists, arts groups and the community at large; presenting community programs such as historical walking tours, Doors Open Guelph, workshops and Schmoozefest networking gatherings for artists and arts groups; representing arts, culture and heritage on community and regional committees and task forces; advocating in support of arts and heritage both locally and beyond.

Guido de Brès serves the Canadian Reformed churches as a high school with its basis in the Word of God as confessed in the Reformed confessions. The school has been serving the Canadian Reformed community in southern Ontario since 1977. As a Christian private school, Guido de Brès does not receive any government funding and is financially supported through tuition payments and through many donors who believe in the importance of Reformed education. The school is named after Guido de Brès, a preacher of the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands who died as a martyr to the faith in the year 1567. He was the chief author of the Belgic Confession, one of the doctrinal standards of the Reformed Churches. A statement from article 12 of this Confession inscribed in the wooden plaque in the front lobby summarizes our school's vision: " ...to the end that man may serve his God".

Rails End Gallery & Arts Centre is located in Haliburton Village, Ontario in a historic railway station. We present a year round schedule of contemporary art exhibitions and related activities. On the fourth weekend of July we host the Haliburton Art & Craft Festival in Head Lake Park.

The Halifax Camerata Singers, an auditioned ensemble of dedicated singers from across Nova Scotia, is Atlantic Canada's leading chamber choir. Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Jeff Joudrey, the choir performs an extensive repertoire covering all periods and styles. Camerata has a reputation for performance excellence that sets a high standard, even in a province known for its rich musical tradition. In the 2010 National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs, Camerata was awarded the prestigious Healey Willan Prize for best overall performance and placed first in the chamber choir category. The choir frequently commissions choral music from Canadian and international composers. Camerata also is proud to encourage young singers through its Youth Mentoring Program, Nova Scotia Youth Choir bursaries, a Young Composer’s Competition, and Camerata Xara Young Women’s Choir.

Established in 1973, we have grown to become a leading dance training organization east of Montreal. We offer recreational classes to children, teens and adults, as well as pre-professional and professional dance training for all ages. We offer support for local and visiting professional artists and companies and produce local and touring performances. Located in bright, beautiful studios in the Maritime Centre, we currently engage over 30 dance instructors and accompanists and offer over 140 dance and fitness classes per week, year round. Halifax Dance is recognized nationally for the high calibre of training that our instructors, choreographers and performing professionals provide to our students. Many of our alumni go on to university dance training programs and professional dance company schools. Halifax Dance is home to the Young Company and numerous professional Companies-in-Residence.

Kin Canada Bursaries (which is a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund) are open to all Canadian citizens and landed immigrants who are attending (or planning to attend) a recognized post-secondary school/institution. All applicants must complete the current application and submit it to the Kinsmen, Kinette, or Kin club nearest their permanent residence by Feb. 1. Bursaries are awarded based on financial need; community and volunteer involvement; and knowlege of / experience with Kinsmen and Kinettes and Kin Canada.

The HSSM is a charitable, not-for-profit organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency and governed by a Board of Governors made up of elected teachers, parents and interested community members. The Board sets policies and governs the general operations of the School. There is also a Parents’ Association, of which all parents of HSSM students are members, which organizes parent meetings, fund raising and other special events. The HSSM Faculty is comprised of professional musicians, all of whom are highly qualified and Suzuki-trained. All HSSM teachers are members of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. We strive to develop children’s natural love of music and to nurture musical talents for personal enjoyment in a rewarding and vibrant learning environment.

Since 1923, Hashomer Hatzair Canada has been working with youth to build community, progressive Jewish values, links to Israel, youth leadership and life-long friendships. Hashomer Hatzair provides the highest quality youth-led informal education, enabling its youth members to take full responsibility for their education, culture, principles and active community participation. Through year-round programming and summer activities at Camp Shomria, each age group, led by youth leaders, learns and grows together in a setting that promotes and models youth leadership, individual excellence, mutual responsibility, social, environmental, and economic justice, respect and cooperation.

The Trust has also promoted the need for heritage preservation legislation in Nova Scotia, and provides input on legislative policy at the municipal and provincial levels. Through research reports, the Trust has facilitated heritage designation of more than 100 buildings throughout the province.
