Our Mission

A charitable, non-governmental organization that:

• Accepts donations of significant natural land and cares for it in perpetuity • Enters into conservation agreements with land owners and ensures that provisions designed to protect the natural character of the land are upheld • Coordinates land stewardship activities across the lands in our care • Helps people to learn more about the ecological, social, cultural and economic benefits of land conservation and encourages them to become involved in this important work • Collaborates with a broad range of partners, including community groups, private sector organizations, individuals and all levels of government in support of conservation in the Kawarthas • Promotes a viable natural environment for the long-term
