Pledge to make a difference, together.
Founded in 1991 by drama critic, director & designer Herbert Whittaker, the museum seeks to preserve, explore and celebrate Canada's performing arts heritage.
Besides collecting and preserving artifacts, the museum hosts a series of educational and engaging events under the banner THEATRE MUSEUM GOES BACKSTAGE. With our growing collection of oral history, LEGEND LIBRARY, the museum has recorded R.H. Thomson in conversations with theatre luminaries like Martha Henry, Douglas Campbell and Mavor Moore.
We have also presented temporary exhibits at the Toronto Public Library, Harbourfront , Canstage and the Elgin and Winter Garden Centre.
Thanks to all our donors who make these initiatives possible.
