Our Mission

The Friends have supported St. Joseph's Residence in numerous ways over the years, including provision of:

A much-needed End of Life Care program that provides support not only to the dying resident, but to their loved ones as well,

A Spiritual Care Coordinator trained to recognize the needs of each resident and devise a plan to meet these needs,

A regular and diverse schedule of religious services.

The Friends have provided funding for several projects and purchases to assist the Residence to fulfill their mission of providing compassionate care, including:

Pressure-relieving mattresses that help a dying resident to remain comfortable,

Hearing devices that enable residents who are especially hard of hearing engage more fully in spiritual and recreational programs,

Transportation for Recreational outings,

Improvements to the landscaping of the Residence’s grounds.

A Walk Assist Lift that enables very frail residents to safely walk again.
