Sign language opens the world to the Deaf
Communication is the cornerstone of all human relationships. Silent Voice Canada is a community organization, founded in 1975, serving Deaf children, youth, adults and their families in American Sign Language (ASL), with programs that focus on communication.
Silent Voice is the only organization in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) offering community and family-based support to Deaf children and adults in ASL - through social-recreational programs for Deaf children and their hearing brothers and sisters, and an in-home ASL teaching program for families. Also, in partnership with other organizations, we provide special assistance and outreach services to socially and economically disadvantaged Deaf adults living in the community.
Communicating with ASL empowers a Deaf child and adult, opening up a world they had never imagined.
